I came to Japan in April of 2007 shortly after graduating university.  Although these past two and a half years have had their share of trying experiences, there is absolutely nothing I would ever trade them for.  At this point, the biggest decision that looms in my life is whether or nor to return to the US, stay in Japan, or try to negotiate a life where I’m able to share my time between the two countries.

This online journal was started shortly after I arrived in the country as a way to keep track of the experiences of my time here and to share them with my friends both here and in Japan.  Those who know me well know that I am terrible about emailing and even worse about keeping in touch.  If you would like to get in touch with me, I really am always happy to hear from my friends.  Please forgive any delay in response.  I hope you’re all doing well!
