Two Days in New York
Dec 22nd
This is the end of my second full day back in New York. It’s, of course, very nice to be back and see my family and nice to just be able to relax. Although I’m sure I’ll begin to get a bit stir-crazy toward the end of the two weeks, at the moment I’m really enjoying the lack of schedules and obligations.
The two or three days before I arrived in New York apparently saw the first big blizzard of the season. Coming from the relatively snow-free island of Shikoku, having several feet of snow on the ground was a really nice change. I still haven’t quite gotten used to the cold though.
Jet lag is setting in. I think I may call it a night.
Getting Things Done
Dec 14th

I had a really nice weekend with Mari doing surprisingly mundane errands and chores. In addition to getting quite a bit of Christmas shopping done, I got my re-entry permit for my trip back to the States, went to the doctor’s to get something checked out and updated my site.
Just another five more days and I’ll begin my unbelievably long journey back to New York from Imabari. I’ll be arriving at JFK around 6:00pm on Sunday the 20th. Shoot me an email if you’re going to be around then. For those who have sent me mail over the past few weeks, I apologize for not responding. In addition to being extremely busy and lazy, I haven’t been feeling very well for a while now.
That being said, I’m really looking forward to coming back to New York in a week. I hope you’re all enjoying the holiday season. Hope to see you soon!
